The club met at 9am at the Glasshouse Mountains lookout. We split into two groups. One group worked from the top of Big Red back to the lookout and the other group set out from the lookout. We did the same for the road leading up to the lookout, finishing up with two trailers and a Ute full of rubbish. A big thank you to those who turned up, Greeno for organising the day and to Matt from 4WD QLD for coming out to support us.

Another great day with an eventful night run.

It was good to have three visitors with us for the toolbox day and night run. Welcome Ryan, Dave and Torrens. James replaced his rear axle and pinion seals with the help of Greeno and Valpacer. While everyone got their fire extinguishers , thanks Valpacer for those.

We all piled into our Jeeps with some of the new guys leaving their trucks behind and jumping in for the ride. We headed of to Glass House Mountains and all drove Shaley Hill, Ryan did real well in his JK.

Off to the power line track and down the canyon at the northern end we all went. First stop the other side was to winch out a big branch that wedged in Al's suspension. A bit of light rain started but nothing to stop the trip.

Off to little red where all but Ryan drove through and on to Big Red. Ryan drove round to meet us at Big Red. Magoo drove Big Red but the hill claimed another victim when James front diff failed and locked a at the bottom of the hill. This was the start of an all night recovery to winch James XJ up Big Red. Going back down was deemed too dangerous in the disabled XJ. The clubs new recovery gear got broken in and the team spirit of our club kicked in and everyone helped the recovery, which took untill 3am.

A great trip and proof of what our club is, mates helping mates
    Cheers James

    November Camp Landcruiser Mountain Park

A few of us went to LMP for our November camp. We arrived on Friday afternoon and after setting up camp headed off down Cruiser Canyon to check it out. None of us had been there since the floods so it was amazing to still see the evidence of the floods, trees on their side and the sand gone and some nice rock driving revealed.

It was great to have some visitors arrive on Sunday with their new JK to see what the club is all about. They had a great time learning how to drive their new Jeep.
