Because the planning, co-ordinating and leading of trips is such a big part of the club it was decided that the best outcome would be if just one person, the trip co-ordinator posted trips on our website. Anybody can lead or plan trips of cource. This was done for a couple of reasons, one was for insurance reasons. The first time the club gets suied with be the last because we wont get insurance after that or it may become to expensive. To make sure any planned trip is deemed suitable all trip sugestions go via the Trip Co ordinator who then emails the committee for approval. If there is no problem envolving safety or legallity and everybody is happy with the suggestion I will then put the trip on the Calendar and it becomes an official club trip. The 2nd reason we use this process is so we dont get to many trips clashing on the same date.
