February Camp – Kinkuna Beach Camp + Optional Turtle Hatching
Date: 16-18/19 February 2018 (Leave on Sunday or Monday at your own leisure)

Trip details: Kinkuna Camping Zone – Burrum Coast National Park near Elliott Heads/Bundaberg
Camping Details: Soft sand beach camping with no amenities, water or toilets so all campers must be self sufficient. Must bring own firewood. All attendees will need sand pegs for tents. There are only 40 campsites available so please book your campsite online and confirm in the attendee list ASAP.
This trip is weather dependent as it is cyclone season so please check onto this forum post in the days before the departure date.
Baby turtle hatching at Mon Repos is 1 hour drive from our camp and is an optional excursion leaving 5pm from camp and returning very late and sometimes nearer to 11pm. Please check the cancellation policy. Turtle watching can run late so those with young kids will need to take this into account.
Driving Conditions: Driving conditions include extremely soft sand, bull dust and optional salt water creek crossings. Campervans are possible but towing experience in soft sand will be required. Please familiarise yourself with the details on the website before leaving.
Cost and payment method: Camping fees: $6.15 per person per night or $25.40 per family per night (1 or 2 adults and accompanying children under 18 years. Children under 5 years free of charge) and must be booked online at https://qpws.usedirect.com/QPWS/
March Day Trip – Mt Mee
Date: Sunday 4 March 2018

Meeting Place and Time: 8.30am Dayboro Bakery, 32 Williams St, Dayboro
Trip details: Starting at Laceys creek road in the southern end of the Park, heading north Range Road forest drive through Jacky Creek Road towards A Break, after stopping for lunch at The Gantry Picnic area, heading north along the Western Escarpment forest drive to drive the moderate rated tracks in the north west of the park, then looping back to the Gantry to head home back through Mt Mee and Dayboro.
