14 – 16 August – The Springs 4×4 Park

Cost and payment method: $65 – 1 night, 2 days | $105 – 2 nights, 3 days
Eftpos facilities available ($2 surcharge)

Trip Details: Take advantage of the Ekka public holiday and join us for a long weekend of wheeling at one of our favourite and always challenging 4WD parks “The Springs”. Over the course of the weekend we will tackle various difficult 4wd tracks around the park. Firewood is available for collection throughout the park. Please bring sufficient food, water & camping gear for the duration of the trip.

5 – 6 September – Janowen Hills 4WD Park

Meeting Place and Time: Saturday 5 September – 8:00am at Aratula Shell Roadhouse 6776 Cunningham Hwy, Aratula – Ensure you fuel up prior to departure time
Approx Finish Time: Approx 2:00pm Sunday

Cost and payment method:
4WDing: Day only $25 | Weekend (or 2-8 days) $30
Camping: Adults: $15pp/night | Children (5 – 15 years): $7pp/night

Facilities: Septic toilets and hot showers are on site. Rubbish bins are also provided. Showers require a token for operation, which may be purchased from the shop. 1 Token gives 3 minutes operation at $1.00 each.
Trip Details: Come join us for the day or for the weekend and tackle the challenges that one of our favourite 4×4 parks has to offer. Janowen has a variety of tracks and levels of difficulty including the wombat holes, creeks, gullies, step ups, steep ascents and descents etc. and the waterfall. Relax by the campfire at night and enjoy the company of your fellow Jeepers.

Experience Day – 5 September – Janowen Hills 4WD Park

This experience day is running parallel to our September Janowen Hills Club Camp club camp, so everyone is most welcome to camp over. If you and your vehicle are capable of some more challenging runs, you will be able to join the experienced members and head out on a run on Sunday morning as well. (At trip leaders discretion)

Trip Details:
This trip will cater for all models of Jeeps, stock or not and is targeted for new members/visitors wishing to join the club. We will cover a number of theory based topics as well practical driving skills over the course of the day.

Theory components cover many aspects of driving, some of these subjects include:

•Vehicle types and capabilities
•How a 4WD works
•Tyre selection, inflation and use
•Pre-trip and during trip vehicle equipment and safety inspections
•Environmental Awareness
•Different techniques for driving in varying terrains

The practical component will give the participants the opportunity to learn and experience all of the different aspects of basic 4WDing in the field. Some of the topics covered on the weekend training include:

•Principles of 4WDriving
•Stop stall key start recoveries
•Driving up and down moderate inclines
•Driving techniques for different terrains
•Approach, departure and ramp over angles
•Driving on side slopes
•Snatch strap recoveries
•Driving to cause minimal environmental impact
•Using Convoy Procedure

3-5 October – Landcruiser Mountain Park

Approx Finish Time: Monday, October 5th, 1:00pm

Cost and payment method: Camping $60 night per vehicle, Day Visit $35 per vehicle – Eftpos available.

Trip Details: Come and join us on “The Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend” for 3 days of wheeling at the iconic Landcruiser Mountain Park located near Jimna QLD. Over the course of the weekend we will tackle various medium – difficult 4wd tracks around the park. Camping will be at our usual place “The Gums”, where toilets and showers are available. Firewood is available for collection throughout the park.
Please bring sufficient food, water & camping gear for the duration of the trip.
