Trip Details: The aim would be to explore lesser known places on Fraser Island such as deserted mining camps and Platypus Bay. Also we will look at including Eli Creek, Lake MacKenzie, Sandy Cape, Indian Head, Maheno Wreck

Walking will be on sand so sturdy thongs or walking shoes is recommended.
Lake Mackenzie is a good place to float so inflatables are fun to have.
Lake Wabby is fun to use a boogie board to ride the sand dune into the lake at your own risk of course.
Eli Creek is fun to ride inflatables down but has sharp tree roots so only sturdier inflatables, boogie boards or mini kayaks are recommended.
Beach sun shelter or beach umbrella for Lake Mackenzie
Cameras – if you bring SLRs make sure you have a protective bag as sand can get into your lens and damage it.
Night photography – bring your SLRs and tripods and we will do some Jeep Milky way photography if the sky is clear. Bring wide lens with low F under 4 if you have one.
